We at Y2ktots believe the above-quoted lines of Chile’s Nobel Prize-winning poet is an all-time relevant statement. More than a decade back these words were one among the inspirational factors that brought together few like-minded volunteers from the student community spearheaded by Mr Renjith George, to form “Y2ktots” and organize series of events and programs focussing on the welfare of the needy children in Bangalore. Starting from the inception till date the Y2ktots had been kept as a voluntary organization which acts as a platform for youth to get together; involve and experience the joy in sharing and caring while working with the needier of our society, the destitute children. Hence we believe in the power of youth to bring positive changes in the society we too are involved in many causes that have social relevance through various projects tailor-made to the support it. Today our volunteers who are youths from every walks of life, have even extended support and care to the flood and disaster-affected people of south India getting involved in the relief works as we believe humanity should triumph more than anything in this world. Moving with the times and understanding the importance of technology and its positive sides, every charity project of ours is technology driven which has helped us in bridging the gaps which went unnoticed earlier.
Wonders and magic can happen around us if we change our perspective about people and things and started caring and being considerate for others and founded as a student initiative in the year 2000 to bring back the lost virtue of Innocence among the unfortunate of our little brothers and sisters we always believed that youth has the energy and enthusiasm to bring about lot of changes for the betterment of our society. Right from the initiation, all our charity missions had focussed on spreading the message of love, peace and friendship to the less fortunate of our little brothers and sisters from various orphanages to childcare homes and from juvenile homes to opportunity schools. We believe education is the key to eradicate poverty and several other issues related to healthcare, population control, unemployment and even human rights. All our projects are envisioned and planned as education-centric as we believe when quality and holistic education are provided to the underprivileged children it can enable and empower them to grow up into mature, skilled and qualified adults who are eligible to pick up employment or launch their own enterprise. As the saying goes children are the future of any country and when proper education is provided to the needy and deprived children of that nation
All our charity missions were rooted on the principles and objectives we firmly believed in
